So thanks to Wachter Infinite DC now has it's very own Discord. For those wondering what that is, it's an app that allows you to both write messages and also talk to one another. This will mean we'll be able to have conversations without the shoutbox deleting it soon after, or you can actually discuss any problems you're having with your story with other writers. All you have to do is click the link to join. Infinite Comics Discord

I give some thanks to S2D2 / PugScribe because reviewing his second issue reminded me this was a thing so I started getting it set up. I thought it'd be more useful than the shoutbox and helpful for real-time-feedback in the middle of writing. If you're new to Discord, you can always change your nickname/name there to be what you want. Also don't freak out if it's a bit wonky cause the editors or myself have to "promote" you up to writer and I'm not sure what permissions are where for those without a role. If there's any emotes you want just post here, post it there or send a PM and then you can utilize a special emote just for your series. (Note: Include the link to it)

Alrighty. Actually seeing some members stop in and talk both about titles and general stuff that was cool. I've added all the emotes in honor of Gotham Knights. I'll get to more of them as I feel like it unless y'know, you provide me with what you want. Currently there seems to be an issue with #announcements that one of our members is having so if you're not seeing the following, let me or the Editors know:

And the issue has been resolved. Also every current title except Cap, Journey, and Stormwatch have emotes (I don't even know what to use for two of the three). I tried to be clever with them. But yeah, if there's something you want, just speak up and it can be added or changed.
I'm happy that the Server is seeing use today. I do suggest getting the app over using the browser for your main computer or even your phone. If it gets too annoying, you can always click server mute.

We've added a widget underneath the shoutbox that hopefully everyone is seeing. I know it took some tweaking of my security apps (Ghostery, uBlock, AdBlockPlus and Scriptsafe) to get it to fully load. If people are having issues, the ad blocking apps might be interfering with it's loading. Be sure to let us know if you see it or if you don't.
It should also be noted that the widget ONLY appears on the main page, and does not appear on any subsequent one.

The shoutbox has now been disabled. It'll likely stay that way as long as the discord widget is functioning properly.

Because it took me 3 days to remember to post DDofEire latest issue of Captain Marvel and give it some hype for hitting the magic number 6. Would you guys prefer Announcements remain Editors and me or open to everyone? It was my intent when I created the Announcements channel for the Editors to use it when they have, well, an announcement that was important like the conversations in Suggestions, Board Changes, Director John Stewart of the D.E.O. etc... Seeing ericthepilot hype up this month's issues of which we already have 5 and it's not even halfway over made me realize it could be used for that too. Then I noticed it gave you an issue teaser of the first few sentences with the link and thought that was a damn good idea to continue. We can continue as is with those currently who have permission to use Announcements doing our best to keep track OR there's a second option. I can create a new channel specifically for Recent Releases for everyone to use though I'll probably still remove the ability to tag everyone cause I'm still a Tyrant. Though there is a way around it for you to take advantage of that I won't explain here.

A Recent Releases tab would probably be helpful. Separating it from announcements would clean it up.

Yeah I agree. A release section that anyone can announce releases on and he announcements kept for the editors important stuff.

I’ve no real opinion. This would be satisfactory for me all the same.

I posted this on the Discord itself, but for those that don't check ours, but do use it, Discord snuck something into the latest Terms of Service update worth looking into:

Well that's incredibly underhanded of Discord. I think I'm going to look into an alternative from a company that isn't so anti-consumer. Assuming one actually exists.
